Common questions about coaching & counselling

We can work on anything that’s keeping you stuck, disconnected, or unsure of who you are or where you’re headed. Together, we’ll unpack what’s really going on beneath the surface — whether it’s anxiety, depression, burnout, low self-worth, or ongoing relationship challenges.

I also support youth and adults navigating identity shifts, life transitions, trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and the daily pressure to “hold it all together.” Many clients come to me to work through self-sabotage, people-pleasing, avoidance, or patterns that just won’t change no matter how hard they try.

My approach blends behavioural science, counselling principles, and lived experience. Every session is psychology-based, practical, and deeply human — no jargon, no judgement, just real conversations that help you shift your mind and change your life.

Sessions are 50 minutes and held online via Zoom. On the morning of your appointment, you’ll receive a link by email — simply click it at your scheduled time to join our private online meeting room.

Each session is tailored to what you need most that week. I’ll guide you through practical strategies, reflection exercises, or psychology-based tools to help you gain clarity and confidence. At times, I may share worksheets or follow-up resources during our session or send them by email afterwards. Together, we’ll agree on simple practices to apply between sessions so your progress continues beyond the call.

I provide psychology-informed coaching and counselling — blending evidence-based psychological tools with a practical, forward-focused approach. My sessions help you understand the why behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, while giving you clear strategies to create real change.

Unlike clinical therapy, my work is non-diagnostic and non-crisis-based. Clinical psychologists and psychiatrists operate within the medical model, formally diagnosing and treating mental health disorders. My focus is on understanding patterns, improving emotional regulation, and helping you manage or move through challenges in a way that’s grounded, compassionate, and actionable.

I have years of experience working with clients who live with mood and personality disorders, as well as intellectual and developmental impairments. Through this work, I’ve helped individuals learn to manage symptoms, improve daily functioning, and — where recovery is possible, such as with depression — develop strategies to overcome difficult periods and move toward lasting wellbeing.

I am registered with the Australian Counselling Association and hold qualifications ranging from graduates in Counselling and Applied Behavioral Science, to a Bachelor with Honours in Psychological Science and specialised training in several targeted relationship and behavioural therapeutic frameworks. This foundation allows me to bridge psychology and behavioural science with lived experience — offering support that’s both informed and deeply human.

The current fee for online counselling and coaching sessions is $95 per 50-minute session, including couples counselling. Concession rates of $80 are available for clients with a valid pension or concession card — please mention this when booking. Teen sessions are also offered at a reduced rate of $80 per session.

Please note that sessions are not eligible for a Medicare rebate as services are provided under a coaching and counselling model rather than a clinical or medical one.

Sessions can be rescheduled with at least 48 hours’ notice. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the deposit or full session fee being retained, as that time is reserved exclusively for you.

Most clients begin to notice a shift in clarity and emotional awareness within the first 2–4 sessions. The pace of change depends on your goals, the depth of what you’re working through, and how actively you engage with the tools and reflections between sessions.

It’s also important to remember that we’re all human — growth isn’t always linear. At times, you may feel like you’ve hit a plateau or that progress has slowed. This is completely normal. Often, these moments mean you’re processing deeper emotions, working through subconscious barriers, or healing layers of past trauma.

Lasting transformation takes consistency, patience, and self-compassion. Together, we’ll track your growth, celebrate the wins, and adjust strategies as you evolve — so every stage of your journey has purpose and meaning.

Yes — I offer online couples counselling sessions focused on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and helping partners understand one another on a deeper level. My role isn’t to take sides, but to help you both recognise unhelpful patterns, learn to communicate needs more effectively, and reconnect with empathy.

Each session is grounded in psychology and behavioural science, with practical strategies you can apply immediately between sessions. Whether you’re working through conflict, rebuilding after a breakup or betrayal, or simply wanting to strengthen your relationship, sessions are designed to bring clarity, understanding, and a renewed sense of partnership.

Couples sessions run for 50 minutes and are $95 per session.

Yes. I work with teens who are navigating anxiety, low confidence, or identity challenges, as well as parents seeking support to better understand and connect with their child. Sessions are adapted to suit the client’s age, communication style, and comfort level.

Common questions about the Online Mindshift Programs

The Mindshift Programs are a series of psychology-based online programs designed to help you break patterns, rebuild identity, and create lasting change. Each program focuses on a different area of growth — from relationships and self-worth to behaviour and habit change — but all share the same foundation: evidence-based tools, behavioural science, and real-life strategies that actually work.

You’ll learn how to understand yourself on a deeper level, shift unhelpful patterns, and apply psychology-backed tools to build a life that feels more aligned, grounded, and fulfilling.

These programs are for anyone who’s ready to stop living on autopilot and start living with awareness and intention. Whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, low confidence, emotional burnout, or self-sabotaging habits, the Mindshift approach gives you the tools to make meaningful change — at your own pace.

You don’t need to be in crisis or have everything figured out. These programs are designed for everyday people who want to understand themselves better and create a life that feels more like their own.

Each Mindshift Program combines short video lessons, guided reflections, and practical exercises you can apply immediately. You’ll move through a step-by-step process built on behavioural science and counselling principles — helping you move from awareness to action, and from action to lasting change.

You can complete each program entirely online, at your own pace, from anywhere in the world.

Most programs stop at motivation — Mindshift goes deeper. Each course blends behavioural psychology, counselling frameworks, and lived experience to help you create genuine, lasting transformation.

There’s no “quick fix” or fluff here. You’ll learn how your mind works, why you get stuck, and how to shift the patterns that keep you there — using the same evidence-based strategies I use in 1:1 coaching.

The Mindshift Programs are psychology-informed and designed to help you understand and manage your emotional and behavioural patterns. While they are not a substitute for therapy or clinical treatment, many participants find they experience more clarity, calm, and confidence as they apply the tools to their lives.

If you’re currently working with a counsellor or psychologist, the programs can complement your therapy by giving you structured, actionable tools to use between sessions.

You’ll have ongoing access to all modules, lessons, and resources for the life of the program. This means you can revisit content whenever you need a refresher — because real growth takes time, and every new chapter of your life brings new insights.

Yes. All Mindshift Programs include access to email support for content questions or guidance. Some programs also include optional live group Q&A sessions or the ability to add 1:1 coaching sessions for more personalised support.

You’ll never be left on your own — there’s always a human touch behind the program to keep you supported and on track.
